$60,000 Needed for Call to Action Campaign

The DC Bar Foundation’s annual Call to Action campaign is just $60,000 shy of reaching its $550,000 goal. So far, 75 firms and corporations have generously committed $490,000, or 89% of our overall goal. Can we count on your firm or corporation to make a gift to help us get there? Firms who commit to supporting Call to Action by May 19 will be featured in a full-page thank you ad in Washington Lawyer magazine.

Dollars raised through Call to Action support training programs for legal aid lawyers, provide financial support to those same attorneys through our Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP), and bolster the Foundation’s operating grants, which provide critical unrestricted funding to legal aid organizations in DC. These grants help some of our grantees keep the lights on to continue offering life-saving services to residents in need by protecting their livelihoods, housing, health, and families.

The DC Bar Foundation is the leading funder of civil legal aid in the District of Columbia, thanks in part because of your support. When you stand with us, you help us to build and fund diverse networks that advance an accessible, user-centered civil legal aid system for District residents – grounded in wellbeing, anti-racism, and anti-poverty.

We thank those who have given to Call to Action consecutively over the years, particularly those who have increased their gift amounts. Your continued support expands the Foundation’s reach in the civil legal aid community. It helps make it possible for us to transform DC’s civil legal aid network so that all District residents have a fair and equal legal experience.
