FY25 Grant Cycle Applications Due August 30
Applications for the DC Bar Foundation’s FY25 grant year are open now through August 30, 11:59 PM. This includes all three of our grant programs – Access to Justice, Civil Legal Counsel Projects Program, and General Support grants.

Register for the DC Walk for Justice 5K by October 10
In an effort to make the Walk more accessible, we have removed the $25 cost of admission for all DC Walk for Justice 5K participants. However, we still invite walkers to make a gift to support civil legal aid in DC upon completing their registration by donating or create/join a fundraising team!
Online fundraising teams give individuals the opportunity to raise funds for the DC Walk for Justice 5K in support of civil legal aid in DC. It is free to join a fundraising team - but, of course, you are encouraged to donate and invite your friends to do so as well. Joining a fundraising team also does not mean you are required to walk.

Save the Date: November 20 Fall Reception
Please save the date for the DC Bar Foundation’s Fall Reception on November 20, 2024, at Regan Zambri Long PLLC (1919 M Street NW, Suite 600, Washington, DC 20036). We look forward to highlighting the Foundation’s recent initiatives and presenting the 2024 Jerrold Scoutt Prize to Tina Smith Nelson of Legal Counsel for the Elderly. We will also recognize the work of our program partners and the ongoing support of our loyal donors and volunteers. Stay tuned for more information to come.
