Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless (WLCH) has been standing for, and with, DC residents struggling with poverty and homelessness since 1986. The DC Bar Foundation (DCBF) was the first funder to support WLCH on the day they opened their doors over 30 years ago.
Today, DCBF and our donors still support WLCH through our private grants program. WLCH provides individual representation, shelter support, policy advocacy, and emergency access to an attorney for all DC residents facing homelessness. These services are vital, especially during this time of year, to make sure all of our neighbors are safe and cared for.
