Coordinated Intake and Referral
The CIR pilot, hosted by Neighborhood Legal Services Program (NLSP), launched on Monday, June 24. The pilot program is designed to test the protocols and technology that will form the foundation of the CIR System. Two CIR Navigators, stationed at NLSP, conduct initial conversations with applicants and use system technology to send their cases to the most appropriate referral organization. The pilot launch is a huge milestone for the CIR project, and we are grateful to Neighborhood Legal Services and all contributing organizations for their partnership.
The organizations accepting referrals in the pilot include Amara Legal Center, Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center, DC Affordable Law Firm, DC Bar Pro Bono Center, DC Volunteer Lawyers Project, Legal Aid DC, Mother's Outreach Network, Network for Victim Recovery of DC, and Whitman-Walker.
