As the Program Specialist, Kimberly brings over a decade of experience in the non-profit sector to support the work of the Programs Team. She previously worked in the international non-profit sector where, for several years, she organized conferences and researched and wrote policy papers and reports. Prior to consulting, Kimberly worked at InterAction, a membership organization for U.S.-based international NGOs. At InterAction, Kimberly was a member of the global partnerships team where she built relationships around common interests with counterpart NGO platforms and managed member working groups. For a number of years, her work focused on issues of aid and development effectiveness, representing InterAction in the international NGO alliances engaged with the Development Assistance Committee of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
Kimberly’s prior experience includes community-level fundraising with the St. Helena Hospital Foundation in California and conference planning with the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research in Abu Dhabi. She holds an M.A. in International Relations from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and a B.A. in Political Science. Kimberly lives in DC where she and her husband have been slowly restoring a rowhouse in the Petworth neighborhood. She is happy to provide referrals to tradespeople to anyone in the Foundation’s community who is embarking on a similar journey.
