Sandi joins the DC Bar Foundation with a range of experience improving operational processes through regular business analysis for non-profit and for-profit companies in domestic and international fields. As part of the operations team, Sandi manages the IOLTA and LRAP programs, oversees audit processes, develops technology strategy and solves problems through detail-oriented collaboration.
Outside of the office, Sandi is Founder and Executive Director of the Burmese American Collective, a home-grown, non-profit organization that educates and advocates for the Myanmar American community.
Sandi has worked extensively throughout the Washington, DC, non-profit network and has been volunteering as a teacher in Myanmar since 2013, spending her summers engaging with communities throughout the country. A lifelong adventurer and lover of learning, Sandi is an alum of the School of Oriental and African Studies (University of London) and holds a master’s degree in the history of art and archaeology of Southeast Asia, with a focus on the art and cultural traditions of Myanmar.
Sandi is a daughter of the Burmese diaspora and is fiercely committed to community engagement and education. She loves to eat, travel, and share the stories of communities across the world.
